Mahama is the real ‘Sakawa Boy’ for stealing Ghana’s bauxite – NPP

Inner City and Zongo Development Dr Minister, Mustapha Abdul-Hamid says John Mahama is the real sakawa and not President Akufo-Addo and his tribesmen.

According to him, John Mahama three weeks after he had been voted out of government signed off 75% of Ghana’s bauxite to his biological brother Ibrahim Mahama

But Akufo-Addo came in and fought for the people of Ghana through the Supreme Court to get back the country’s bauxite; something Mahama will not have done.

The Minister who was speaking at a Press Conference Monday said while condemning Mahama that “In any event, if we are talking about sakawa, what is more sakawa, than three weeks after you’ve lost an election, you sign off 75 percent of Ghana’s bauxite deposits to your brother? You hand over our resources, bauxite resources to your brother three weeks after you’ve lost an election.

“Even that one, nobody has said that it constitutes sakawa.

“That is basically stealing Ghana’s resources by dead of night because you have lost, you are on your way out.

“Somebody comes in, like Akufo-Addo and we go to the Supreme Court and we retrieve these resources, we leverage it with the sinohydro deal and that is what is giving the people of Tamale the interchange, that is what is building all these eastern corridor roads, the innercity roads in Cape Coast, etc.

“So, you that you steal our resources and give it to your brother, somebody comes and takes that resource and is leveraging it for the benefit of the Ghanaian people, you and that person, who qualifies to be called sakawa?” Dr Abdul-Hamid asked.

“So, really and truly, I think that we should call a spade by its name”, Dr Abdul-Hamid said.

John Dramani Mahama shared on post from Bolgatanga-Central Member of Parliament on his timeline. In the writeup, the legislator described Akufo-Addo’s family members behind what he describes as stinking Agyapa deal as “Akyem Sakawa boys”; a description that incurred the wrath of the President of Ghana.
