There is no disputation about the fact that in politics, the opposition will definitely be on the neck of the incumbent government. When former president Mahama was in power, the then opposition party under the leadership of Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia criticised him for a very long time until power was exchanged.

As the usual saying goes, what is good for the goose is also good for gander so as it was done to him, the same is being done to the NPP government.

It is not long ago that it came to the public notice that His excellency Nana Akufo Addo rented a private jet for his foreign travels.

After the NDC got to know, they started throwing shots to the president for mismanagement of the economy and the National treasury.

The National Communications officer and the General Secretary of the NDC, Sammy Gyamfi and Johnson Asiedu Nketiah sat on various national television and radio stations to be on the neck of the president for allocating such huge amount of money to rent a jet alone while the youth don’t have permanent jobs to do in the country.

This and many more have the president been accused of since elected to power. The president has finally spoken about various accusations that have been levelled against him.

Speaking on VOV radio at Hohoe during his presidential tour to the region, the president made it clearer that, when they were leaving the office in 2016, the cost of economy was 3.4 which is the lowest in the past 24 years.

He went ahead and said that there are few facts to put on the table to compare both performance of his and former president Mahama and they have managed the economy very well.

So if former president Mahama is describing his government as mismanagement of economy then he doesn’t know what to call his than to say mitigated disaster.
